SunFestivities

Beyond the full lineup of top musical acts, SunFest has great events and activities planned day and night. From the active to the relaxing, there is something for everyone.

Captain Morgan's Floating Oasis

The waterfront along Flagler Drive is never better than when SunFest's three Captain Morgan's Oasis tie up to the seawall each May.  Other than having your own boat, it's your only chance to enjoy drinks and music actually floating on the downtown West Palm Beach Intracoastal!  All three floating barges will feature specially created Captain Morgan's drinks and great times, and are now open til midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

North Oasis

This tropical setting features your favorites and classic rock.  Oasis will feature live telecasts of headline performers from the WaMu stage - a great place to spend your night.

Middle Oasis

The unofficial "party barge" features dance music by house DJs and WiLD 95.5.  Check out the unofficial "After Party" when the concerts end.

South Oasis

New this year, the southernmost oasis will feature a sports-theme barge with ESPN Radio 760.  Check out some of your favorite sports while enjoying a great Captain Morgan drink!

Bahamas Junkanoo Revue - Taking Entertainment to the Streets

Sat., May 3rd & Sun., May 4th

Music fills the streets of SunFest as performers entertain guests up and down Flagler Drive.  The Bahamas Junkanoo Revue of Miami will return to SunFest this year, parading their way through the festival several times a day, Saturday and Sunday.  Don't miss this rambunctious musical group as they entertain and interact with festivalgoers.

Guitar Hero Competition

Are you ready to rock?  This year, SunFest is looking for South Florida's best Guitar Hero players to compete for a chance to win a pair of 2009 SunFest backstage passes.  Guitar Hero is a rock guitar simulation game that gives you the opportunity to become a music legend.  It features some of the greatest rock songs of all time and we want you to show us what you've got!

Each day on the North Captain Morgan Floating Oasis, the first 20 people to sign up at the DJ booth will compete for a chance to be crowned the SunFest Champion.  Sign-ups will begin when the gates open.  Showtime is 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.  The finals - featuring the winners of each day's competition - will be held on the festival's main WaMu Stage at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The rules are simple... 20 player a day competing at the Face-Off level of Guitar Hero 2 on X-Box 360.  The 2 players with the highest score after the 4 days of competition will play one last song Sunday on the SunFest Main Stage for the ultimate Championship.  Songs are limited to the first menu (sorry, no Free Bird!) and only one entry and one song per player.

National City Juried Fine Art & Craft Show

Opens Fri., May 2nd at 5 p.m. The work of more than 160 national artists will be on display, including paintings, photography, jewelry, sculptures, pottery and ceramics.  Tours of the arts show will be offered Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.  Get a guided tour of the show and see artist demonstrations.  To sign-up for tours, visit the artist oasis 15 minutes before the tour.
